WORKING THEORY

Long Pulsed ND:YAG is based on the principle of photo-thermal destruction of the target tissue. Target structures (blood vessels and pigmented lesions) absorb the focused Laser light, (which is set at a specific fluence and pulse width based on the condition being treated). Light energy gets converted to thermal energy (heat), thus destroying the target structure.
